Overview
What We’re Looking For
As an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Engineer at CyberPoint, you will design, develop, test and operationalize AI/ML algorithms and models to solve complex technical and mission requirements. You will work across the machine learning lifecycle, including data selection and analysis, model development, testing and evaluation, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing and productizing machine learning solutions and understands how to translate data science prototypes into scalable, production-ready systems. You will work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to develop solutions that meet customer requirements and deliver reliable, high-performance results.

What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test and operationalize AI/ML algorithms and models to address customer and mission requirements.
- Select and prepare appropriate datasets for machine learning applications.
- Perform statistical analysis and interpret data to support model development and optimixation.
- Run, evaluate, train and retrain machine learning algorithms as needed.
- Apply machine learning libraries, packages and frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Monitor model performance and use analytical results and user or system feedback to improve models.
- Research and implement a broad range of AI/ML algorithms, tools and techniques.
- Design or select appropriate data and knowledge representation methods.
- Apply principles of software architecture, data modeling and data structures to AI/ML solutions.
- Support the integration of AI/ML solutions into larger technical environments.
- Provide system integration oversight for AI/ML capabilities.
- Conduct testing and evaluation of AI/ML algorithms through iterative design processes.
- Support verification and validation activities to ensure solutions meet established requirements.
- Verify data integrity and model output quality.
- Identify differences in data distributions that may affect model performance.
- Document technical approaches, results and recommendations.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and implement AI/ML solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts and findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
What You’ll Need
- US Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Polygraph
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in applied machine learning on programs or contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
- Master's or Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university in Advanced Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Deep Learning or a related discipline.
- A relevant bachelor's degree plus 5 additional years of machine learning experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree.
- Experience working with machine learning libraries and packages.
- Experience with standard machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with machine learning algorithm development, statistical analysis, model evaluation and optimization.
- Knowledge of software architecture, data modeling, data structures and data engineering concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, C or R
- Experience developing scalable machine learning solutions for production environments.
- Experience with model monitoring, scheduling and continuous performance improvement.
