PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Support Card Services functions with responsibility for a variety of daily processing, administrative, research and maintenance tasks, ensuring a world class level of member service, performed promptly, accurately and efficiently.
Pay Range: $19.03 - $24.50 per hour commensurate with experience
Schedule: This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with a combination of in office and remote days upon completion of in-office training period.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the daily accurate processing of all network Debit and Credit card and ATM transactions to the Credit Union’s systems.
- Research and resolve basic Debit and Credit card issues as they arise.
- Assist with creating procedures and training tools for new products and services.
- Assist with certification and testing with various vendors in the development of new products and processes.
- Responsible for issuing and ordering new cards as needed, as well as other related activities.
- Assist with the daily initiation activities related to card fraud, including preparing, reviewing and processing affidavits; reviewing daily reports for suspicious activity, as well as daily fraud alerts presented through our fraud management systems.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of various systems and technologies that are necessary to support card services functions.
- Cross-train in other duties as required, including cross-positional duties and tasks to ensure appropriate dual security controls.
- Work cooperatively with other departments to ensure timely resolution of card related issues. Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable policies, procedures and regulations.
- Stay current on job-related equipment, procedures and/or information by reading handouts/memos, attending meetings and seminars and other necessary means.
- Adhere to all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations.
- Maintain community involvement and participate in special projects, as needed
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Education: Two-year college degree required.
Experience: 1-3 years work experience required, preferably with a banking/credit union operations department; general knowledge of department functions within a financial institution.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast – paced environment, strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Proficient with MS Office, ability to adapt to job specific technologies; ability to interact professionally on the telephone and through electronic means.
