Wells Fargo is seeking a Finance Analyst within CIB Markets Finance, reporting into Markets Financial Planning & Analysis / Modeling. This role supports development and implementation of finance strategy across CIB Markets and is responsible for managing forecasts and budgets to achieve business goals, improve efficiency, and strengthen governance through effective cross-functional partnership, influence, and alignment. In this role, you will:

  • Create/develop/improve internal financial reporting with insightful updates to support business and functional Markets areas
  • Ensure effective process management of monthly close, financial forecasts, Budget planning and reporting
  • Make decisions in multi-faceted situations, providing advice and technical expertise on matters related to complex financial analysis and forecasting as well as economic research in support of management decision making functions
  • Provide credible challenge to the business on discretionary vs non-discretionary expenses and partner cross-functionally to find opportunities to reduce expenses
  • Establish/maintain appropriate governance structure to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of financial reporting
  • Research strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning as well as enhancing reporting systems and data infrastructure to support the production of financial reporting and analysis
  • Maintain effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standards and internal control standards while delivering clear, concise and impactful financial reporting packages for business leadership and key stakeholders
  • Meet deliverables and drive new initiatives with solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and business leaders to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Partner with line of business finance teams, front office, and model governance teams on model development and implementation for trading-related balance sheet and revenue.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, or a related field; strong business acumen in financial services (particularly banking).

  • Highly motivated, self-starting team player accustomed to working in complex organizations, partnering with diverse stakeholders, and delivering results.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy; ability to synthesize complex data and communicate clear insights and recommendations.

  • Prior experience with balance sheet and/or income statement forecasting; knowledge of asset, liability, and/or liquidity management concepts.

  • Markets product knowledge and ability to quickly learn complex instruments.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including advanced Excel (Index/Match, pivot tables, etc.).

  • Experience with data and analytics tools such as Essbase, Python, and/or Tableau.

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including comfort presenting forecast outcomes to senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in an ever-changing environment; exercises independent judgment and collaborates to identify and resolve issues.

  • Experience with monthly closing, developing financial projections, and establishing goals
