Position Description

Under general supervision performs skilled mechanical or analytical duties on various projects. May supervise subordinate employees.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Responsible to meet all procurement and documentation policy and procedures as set forth by TTUHSC, Managed Health Care.
  • Maintains accurate records of supplies requested, procured as well as reconciled invoices, and distributed as deemed appropriate by supervisor(s).
  • Responsible for acquisition and / or purchasing of medical materials while considering best price, quality, availability and reliability when purchasing products. Billing, and/or service documentation and questions to be forwarded to the accounting department or supervisor as appropriate.
  • Maintains adequate supply of stock items to ensure availability at all times including its employees and all of its activities; documenting, ordering, receiving, checking, stocking, and distributing supplies and equipment in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Aids in provision of a daily courier service between Health Care System sites and vendors as necessary.
  • Research and check resources to obtain best pricing, availability and reliability of products. Assist in equipment inventory monitoring and reconciliation as required by ACA Standards, TTUHSC Policy and/or supervisor.
  • Develops and implements policies for general supply request and special orders.
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED and three years' work experience. Additional job-related education may substitute for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous correctional experience.
