Leidos has an immediate opening for a Principal Control Account Manager (CAM) to support our Hypersonic Portfolio of programs within the Aerospace Systems Business Area of the Leidos Defense Systems Sector.
The Principal Control Account Manager will work on-site at the Leidos Hypersonic Integration facility at our Mid-City office in Huntsville. They will provide programmatic oversight and assistance for control account owners on the Common Hypersonic Glide Body (CHGB) program, ensuring successful monitoring and control of the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB). The right candidate will be able to bridge the gaps between the traditional technical CAMs, the EVM/Scheduling team, and program leadership. In addition, the lead CAM will help establish processes, procedures, and body of knowledge for the CAM function across the enterprise.
This position will be an integral part of the larger enterprise-wide Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE), a team-leading and executing the core responsibilities of scheduling, planning, EVMS, the associated infrastructure and tools, implementations, training, and surveillance for Leidos.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead weekly priority calls with CAMs, the EVM/Scheduling support team, the government customer, and program leadership.
- Participate in monthly risk, issues, and opportunities (RIO) board reviews.
- Attend Technical Interchange Meetings, Change Control Boards, and other meetings to ensure valid input to the EVM system.
- Work with CAMs to align technical/functional resources to perform work in accordance with Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
- Review staffing needs with all CAMs / functional managers across each control account.
- Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate monthly business rhythm inputs to the Leidos EVM tool (LENS). This includes changes related to Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) status, baseline change requests (BCRs), estimate to complete (ETC) updates, and variance analysis reporting (VAR).
- Responsible for developing and coordinating corrective action plans with fellow CAMs.
- Analyze Estimate at Complete (EAC) realism and provide feedback to CAMs.
- Provide continuous review and analysis of the program performance data at the work package (WP) and control account (CA) level
- Work with contracts to ensure contract modifications are captured within the total contract value and disseminated to the contract budget base.
- Review weekly labor reports to validate charging accuracy and adjustments needed to the EAC.
- Work with CAMs on discussions of scope definition, WBS formation, and the follow-on decomposition of Control Accounts and Work Packages to identify discrete, deliverable-oriented tasking.
- Work with fellow CAMs to identify the appropriate earning standards or Earned Value Technique (EVT). Where necessary, ensure offline QBD is suitable and maintained in accordance with the Leidos corporate Earned Value Management System Description (EVMSD).
- Partner with finance team to review funding limitations, open commitments, fee adjustments, and sales targets.
- Influence functional team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.
- Work to develop corporate CAM processes and procedures.
- Lead CAM development workshops on a recurring basis.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires a BA degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 10 years of prior relevant experience; additional education, experience or training will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of using tools like Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP, EVM Software Deltek Cobra, EVMS forProject, OPDEC IPM, SSI tools.
- Proactively communicates with internal team members across multiple functional areas and sites.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in a DOD Earned Value Management environment.
- Prior success with managing multiple priorities and meeting strict business calendar due dates to maintain EVMS deliverables.
- Experience with development of Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Complete (EAC).
- Experience with implementing and maintaining baseline change control processes.
- Experience with developing and participating in IBR deliverables/events.
- US Citizenship Required - All candidates must be able to obtain and maintain at least a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Earned Value Profession (EVP) certification
- Prior experience with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and testing

Pay Range:
Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
