Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily payroll activities with the managed services provider to help deliver complete, accurate, and timely payroll processing.
• Enter and maintain employee job, compensation, and personal data that does not transfer automatically between HR and payroll platforms.
• Review payroll reports before and after processing, investigate inconsistencies, and make corrections to reduce errors and maintain data integrity.
• Reconcile differences between HR records and payroll system information, researching root causes and resolving outstanding issues.
• Respond to employee, manager, and business partner inquiries related to pay, deductions, taxes, time entry, and personnel records.
• Support wage garnishment administration and assist with off-cycle payroll processing to meet regulatory and business requirements.
• Track, update, and close service requests using case management tools while providing clear follow-up on open items.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Compensation, Finance, and other stakeholders to address payroll-related requests and operational needs.
• Maintain supporting documentation and follow internal controls, audit standards, confidentiality rules, and data privacy requirements at all times.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource on payroll and timekeeping processes, including system functionality and related operational procedures.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree or a comparable combination of education and relevant payroll experience.• 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll for a workforce of approximately 5,000 or more employees.
• Working knowledge of the full payroll cycle, including data input, payroll review, processing, validation, and post-payroll activities.
• Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local payroll, labor, and employment regulations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience using payroll or HRIS platforms such as GlobalView, Ceridian Dayforce, SAP, or similar systems is preferred.
• Payroll certification, such as CPP or FPC, is preferred.
