Senior Manager Epic Cogito

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Epic Cogito to lead enterprise analytics initiatives and oversee the successful coordination of analytics efforts across multiple applications. This individual will play a key leadership role in driving analytics strategy, governance, and execution to deliver high-quality reporting solutions aligned with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the Epic Cogito suite, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of managing analytics teams in complex healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the intake, triage, prioritization, and execution of enterprise analytics requests
• Define and implement build, security, and data segmentation strategies across reporting environments
• Establish, maintain, and enforce enterprise-wide Cogito security policies
• Partner with stakeholders to develop and facilitate data governance processes and committees
• Oversee reporting implementation scope and ensure solutions align with business objectives
• Drive analytics initiatives from planning and design through go-live and post-implementation optimization
• Monitor team productivity, performance, and overall delivery success
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve communication and address workflow gaps
• Coordinate with training teams to support end-user adoption, education, and satisfaction
• Maintain processes for analytics catalog usage and request tracking
• Review system upgrades and manage implementation, communication, and training related to updates
• Support Business Intelligence teams in identifying and delivering optimal reporting solutions

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Deep expertise with the Epic Cogito Suite
• Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries across relational and data warehouse environments such as Clarity and Caboodle
• 3–5 years of experience managing teams of analysts or BI professionals
• Strong ability to translate complex technical data into actionable insights for leadership
• 7+ years of experience in healthcare IT, analytics, or reporting, including significant Epic-related experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Current Cogito certifications required, including:
• Reporting Workbench
• Radar/Dashboards
• SlicerDicer

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data governance frameworks, security, and data segmentation strategies
• Background in defining or contributing to enterprise analytics strategy
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Knowledge of advanced analytics, machine learning, or predictive modeling
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Preferred certifications include:
• Cogito Project Manager track
• Cogito Tools Administration
• SAFe Agile or Scrum certification

Work Environment & Travel

• Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Extended screen time and occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required
• Domestic travel up to 25%

Compensation

$150,000.00-$160,000.00 Yearly
