Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a team in Oakwood, Ohio on a Contract basis. This onsite role follows a standard 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule and is well suited for someone who is comfortable handling day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and consistency. The position will focus on payables, receivables, and high-volume data entry while supporting accounting operations in a construction-related software environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounts payable activities, including reviewing, entering, and processing vendor invoices accurately and on time.
• Support accounts receivable functions by recording incoming payments and maintaining organized transaction records.
• Apply correct general ledger or job cost coding to invoices to ensure expenses are tracked properly.
• Prepare and process ACH payments and assist with scheduled check runs according to established timelines.
• Enter financial and vendor information into the accounting system with a high level of speed and accuracy.
• Reconcile payment details and follow up on discrepancies to help maintain clean and reliable records.
• Work within Foundation Software or a comparable accounting platform to maintain current accounting data.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to keep routine accounting workflows moving efficiently in an onsite office setting.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in accounts payable, with the ability to process invoices and maintain accurate payment records.
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable activities and general accounting support tasks.
• Experience assigning invoice codes and handling account coding with close attention to detail.
• Familiarity with ACH transactions and preparing check runs in a business environment.
• Strong data entry skills with a consistent focus on accuracy and organization.
• Experience using Foundation Software or similar accounting systems, such as QuickBooks or construction accounting platforms.
• Ability to work onsite in Oakwood, Ohio during regular business hours.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to manage multiple accounting tasks effectively.

Compensation

$23.75-$27.50 Hourly
