Senior Project Accountant
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support financial operations for a growing organization in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This role is well suited for an accounting specialist who can manage day-to-day transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to timely close activities. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound knowledge of core accounting processes, and experience working with enterprise accounting platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting activities across payables, receivables, and general ledger functions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining supporting documentation and proper account classification.
• Reconcile bank accounts and key balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Support monthly and period-end close processes by reviewing transactions, analyzing variances, and finalizing account balances.
• Maintain project and corporate financial records with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards.
• Partner with internal teams to track financial activity, respond to reporting needs, and improve the flow of accounting information.
• Utilize accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to process transactions and generate financial data.
• Assist with process updates, reporting enhancements, and other accounting initiatives as business needs evolves
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of full cycle accounting experience
• Bachelors in Accounting
• Ability to prepare journal entries and participate in month-end close activities with a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency in one or more accounting platforms, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to maintain organized financial records.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Compensation
