Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to deliver hands-on technical support in San Francisco, California. This contract position focuses on providing onsite assistance in a Microsoft-centered environment, helping employees stay productive through responsive issue resolution, workstation deployment, and day-to-day support. The role is well suited for a mid- to senior-level candidate who is comfortable balancing user support with device setup and operational project work.
This is an on-site, on-going contract opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver onsite first- and second-line technical assistance for end-user hardware, software, and network access concerns
• Investigate service requests and technical incidents, resolve issues efficiently, and route more complex problems to specialized teams when appropriate
• Prepare, image, configure, and roll out Windows laptops and desktop systems for new and existing employees
• Coordinate onboarding support by setting up user devices, establishing account access, and ensuring employees are ready to work on day one
• Administer Active Directory tasks such as creating user accounts, updating permissions, and addressing account-related problems
• Support Microsoft tools and platforms, including Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving printers, monitors, docking stations, and other workplace peripherals
• Set up deskside technology and office equipment, including complete workstation installations and reconfigurations
• Contribute to deployment and office support projects such as monitor distributions and workspace equipment rollouts
Qualifications:
• Experience providing desktop or help desk support in an onsite, user-facing environment• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and broader Microsoft desktop technologies
• Practical experience with Active Directory administration and user account support
• Ability to perform structured troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Familiarity with service desk ticket management and incident resolution workflows
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications in a business setting
• Exposure to device deployment activities, including imaging and workstation setup
• Mac support experience is helpful but not required
Compensation
