Contracts Administrator
We are looking for a Contracts Administrator to support a growing legal function within an organization in Durham, North Carolina. The role will work across agreements tied to renewable energy matters such as land transactions and mineral rights, while partnering with legal stakeholders to keep priorities organized and moving forward.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, revise, and review a variety of agreements, ensuring language is accurate, complete, and aligned with business and legal expectations.
• Manage contract redlines and coordinate updates between internal stakeholders to help move documents efficiently through the review cycle.
• Oversee the flow of contracts from intake through execution, maintaining visibility into status, deadlines, and outstanding action items.
• Monitor the legal team’s shared request queue and respond to incoming contract-related needs in a timely and organized manner.
• Support compliance-related activities connected to contract administration and documentation practices.
• Help establish practical workflows, tracking methods, and organizational standards to improve consistency across a busy legal operation.
• Partner with attorneys and cross-functional teams on renewable energy agreements, including documents related to land use and mineral rights.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and cross-training efforts to promote continuity and coverage within the legal support team.
• Use Litera and other legal tools to format, compare, and manage contract documentation effectively.
Qualifications:
• Experience in contract administration, paralegal support, or a similar legal operations role.• Strong background in drafting, reviewing, and redlining commercial or legal agreements.
• Ability to manage a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Comfortable working in an evolving environment where priorities may shift and processes are still being refined.
• Familiarity with renewable energy contracts or transferable experience with specialized agreements such as land or rights-based documents.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple matters at different stages simultaneously.
• Experience using contract review or document comparison tools, including Litera, is preferred.
