Billing Supervisor/Manager

We are looking for a Billing Supervisor/Manager to support a media organization in New York City, New York on a Contract basis. This role will oversee billing operations, collections activity, and cash application processes while ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of account issues. The ideal candidate brings strong NetSuite expertise, works confidently with B2B customers, and uses Excel to analyze billing data and improve workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day billing and collections activities to ensure invoices are issued accurately and customer accounts are actively managed.
• Monitor outstanding balances, follow up with business clients on overdue accounts, and drive timely payment resolution.
• Apply incoming payments accurately, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain clean account records across billing systems.
• Use NetSuite to manage invoicing, collections tracking, account adjustments, and reporting activities.
• Review billing data for errors or inconsistencies and resolve issues in coordination with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Prepare regular aging, collections, and cash application reports to provide visibility into account status and performance.
• Support process improvements related to billing operations and account management, including system-related workflow updates when needed.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to address customer questions, streamline issue resolution, and maintain service quality.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable leadership within a business-to-business environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with NetSuite is required.
• Strong background in cash application and payment reconciliation.
• Experience managing B2B collections and resolving customer account issues professionally.
• Advanced or intermediate Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, tracking, and data analysis.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external clients.

Compensation

$38.00-$44.00 Hourly
