Accounts Payable Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval before processing
• Match purchase documents, receipts, and invoices to support accurate three-way verification
• Assign appropriate accounting codes to invoices and enter payment details into the system
• Prepare and assist with routine check runs to ensure vendors are paid on schedule
• Communicate with vendors to address payment questions, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive relationships
• Monitor outstanding payables and help keep records current, organized, and audit-ready
• Support day-to-day accounts payable activities while following company procedures and documentation standards
Qualifications:
• Experience or coursework related to accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting• Familiarity with invoice entry, invoice coding, and payment processing tasks
• Understanding of three-way matching and basic accounts payable controls
• Ability to manage detailed financial information with a high level of accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely manner
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal staff
• Proficiency with basic office software and comfort learning accounting systems
Compensation
