Staff Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations for a property-focused organization in Stockton, California. This role will handle day-to-day financial activities, maintain accurate records, and help ensure timely month-end reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entry preparation, with knowledge of property management or commercial real estate accounting systems.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records across assigned accounts.
• Reconcile general ledger balances and investigate discrepancies to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities by organizing account activity and validating financial data.
• Maintain accounting records related to property management operations, including tracking transactions and reviewing supporting documentation.
• Assist with financial reporting by compiling schedules, analyzing account activity, and preparing documentation for management review.
• Work within Yardi and other accounting systems to enter data, review ledgers, and improve consistency in financial records.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve accounting issues, clarify transaction details, and support day-to-day operational needs.
Qualifications:
• Experience in staff accounting with hands-on responsibility for journal entries and general ledger maintenance.• Strong background in account reconciliations and month-end close processes.
• Knowledge of property management accounting, commercial real estate accounting, or closely related industry practices.
• Proficiency using Yardi or comparable accounting software in a business setting.
• Ability to review financial information carefully and identify errors, variances, or missing support.
• Organized approach to managing multiple priorities while meeting reporting deadlines.
Compensation
