Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Lead the preparation and review of journal entries, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations to help ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support month-end close by analyzing balances, investigating fluctuations, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Compile and organize financial information from multiple data sources for reporting, reconciliations, and management analysis.
• Perform detailed ad hoc analyses related to accounting results, costing matters, and reporting requests from business partners.
• Execute and verify costing-related uploads while confirming data accuracy and alignment with financial records.
• Prepare variance-to-standard reporting and provide insight into key drivers affecting financial performance.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by assembling schedules, documentation, and supporting analysis.
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to address accounting questions, improve workflows, and strengthen reporting quality.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; certification or progress toward certification is preferred.• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including work with month-end close and general ledger processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to evaluate complex transactions accurately.
• Hands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting systems.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage, analyze, and summarize large sets of financial data.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking, sound problem-solving ability, and close attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, balance multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
• Effective communication skills and experience partnering with cross-functional teams; familiarity with using AI tools to improve efficiency is a plus.
