Teller

We are looking for a personable and detail-oriented Teller to join a banking team in Charleston, South Carolina. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, handling financial transactions accurately, and supporting daily branch operations. The role focuses on delivering dependable service, maintaining balanced cash activity, and assisting clients with routine account needs in a banking environment.

Responsibilities:
• Assist customers with everyday banking needs by providing courteous service and resolving routine account-related questions.
• Receive, count, and reconcile cash transactions with accuracy while maintaining proper drawer balances throughout the day.
• Process check-cashing requests, withdrawals, and deposit verification in accordance with branch procedures and risk controls.
• Support new account setup by guiding customers through required information and documentation steps.
• Review transactions carefully to confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal banking standards.
• Maintain organized records of daily financial activity and report discrepancies promptly to branch leadership.
• Contribute to smooth branch operations by prioritizing efficiency, accuracy, and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer-facing banking, teller work, or cash-handling roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cash activity accurately and balance a cash drawer consistently.
• Working knowledge of common banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and check processing.
• Experience assisting with account setup, account servicing, or transaction-related customer support.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and follow established procedures.
• Clear communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to customer service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced branch setting while handling multiple transactions.
• Understanding of basic risk awareness and confidentiality practices in a financial environment.

Compensation

$17.10-$19.80 Hourly
