Robert Half Legal is partnering with a highly respected, full-service Seattle law firm to identify an experienced Senior Commercial Litigation Counsel for its established litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior attorney seeking sophisticated litigation work, a collegial and collaborative culture, and a potential path toward long-term leadership and partnership.
The firm represents businesses, developers, property owners, and other stakeholders in complex disputes across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate will bring significant courtroom experience, strong client-management skills, and a proven ability to independently manage high-value litigation matters from inception through trial.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex commercial litigation matters through all phases of litigation, including trial.
- Develop and execute case strategy while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
- Handle disputes involving commercial contracts, business torts, real estate matters, construction claims, professional liability, and insurance coverage issues.
- Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
- Manage all aspects of discovery, including written discovery, document review, ESI management, and depositions.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings in both state and federal courts.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and other stakeholders.
- Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and litigation support personnel on complex matters.
- Participate in business development initiatives, client relationship management, and practice growth efforts.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $350,000+, depending on experience, expertise, and business-generation capabilities.

Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association.
- Minimum of 10 years of complex commercial litigation experience.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing sophisticated litigation matters from filing through resolution or trial.
- Excellent written advocacy, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills.
Compensation
