Accounting Clerk

Our client in Turners Falls, Massachusetts is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a contract opportunity. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with a variety of financial and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and prior experience in an accounting or finance support role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Enter and maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems
• Reconcile bank statements, invoices, and other financial records
• Assist with billing, payment processing, and collections support
• Prepare and organize accounting documents and reports
• Support month-end close activities and general ledger maintenance
• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounting records
• Maintain filing systems and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
• Assist with other administrative and accounting-related duties as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in an accounting clerk, bookkeeping, or finance support role
• Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting procedures
• Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
