Facilities Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Assist with packing, moving, unloading, and unpacking boxes and office materials as part of site preparation activities.
• Organize furniture, supplies, and equipment to help maintain safe and orderly work areas during the move process.
• Support conference room readiness by arranging spaces, checking setup needs, and addressing basic facilities requests.
• Update and track work activities using CMMS or other computerized maintenance management systems as needed.
• Coordinate with facilities staff and vendors to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and workplace needs are addressed promptly.
• Perform general facilities support duties, including responding to routine service requests and helping maintain shared office areas.
• Follow safety procedures when lifting, transporting, and staging materials throughout the facility.
• Assist with administrative timekeeping or task tracking processes, including use of systems such as Kronos when required.
Qualifications:
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and moving boxes and equipment.• Previous experience in facilities support, office services, or workplace coordination is preferred.
• Familiarity with CMMS or computerized maintenance management systems is an asset.
• Experience supporting conference rooms or office space setup is beneficial.
• Comfortable using workplace systems and tools, including timekeeping platforms such as Kronos.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to follow instructions while working independently or with a team.
Compensation
