AMD Coordinator

To provide efficient administrative support for the Auto Material Damage Department while providing an excellent customer experience.

Perform review of Auto Material Damage claims and triage to the appropriate area for handling to provide an excellent customer experience and reduce cycle times.

Perform load balancing analysis of claims for field assignment by monitoring Outlook calendars and Guidewire Claim Center.

Initiate telephone contact with Farm Bureau field staff and independent appraisal firms to facilitate the assignment of claims.

Maintain cost-consciousness in the assignment of claim to minimize independent adjusting expense.

Develop and maintain and a general knowledge of automobiles, their components, and terminology associated with the collision repair industry.

Contact lienholders and lending institutions to secure termination statements, release of liens, letter of guarantees, and payoff amounts to allow transfer of titles to salvage buyers.

Process necessary Secretary of State documents to affect the sale of auto salvage.

Acknowledge and record the receipt of salvage sale proceeds and deficits.

Respond to telephone and email inquiries from policyholders, claimants, agents, attorneys, repair facilities, auto auctions, towing facilities, and third-party administrators.

Coordinate car rental coverage and billing for Farm Bureau customers and claimants according to policy coverage.

Adjust, process, key payments, and enforce the policy contract on specific Glass and Roadside Assistance exceptions which do not qualify for straight-through processing or have been submitted outside Farm Bureaus Glass and Roadside Assistance programs.

Develop and maintain general knowledge of the auto contracts written by the companies and their various endorsements and exclusions, as well as knowledge of company procedures and acceptable claim practices.

Maintain a general knowledge of insurance law, as it relates to physical damage contracts written by the companies. Maintain awareness and understanding of current trends and developments in the insurance industry.

Be a solid resource to other Claim personnel as necessary.

Required
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Keyboarding skills of 40 wpm with accuracy required.
Knowledge of computers and various software required.
Knowledge of claims activities and terminology required.

Preferred
Associates or bachelors degree preferred.
Two years of experience in a claim, auto repair, or professional office environment preferred.


Note:This is a Hybrid position working both remotely from the State of Michigan and from the Farm Bureau Home Office located in Lansing, Michigan. Farm Bureau offers a full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
