CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an Employee-Owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking a Range Operations Supervisor to support the National Training Center (NTC) Range Operations and Maintenance contract. The Range Operations Supervisor plans, directs, and supervises daily firing desk operations, range scheduling, Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) activities, personnel, and operational support. The position ensures safe, efficient, and continuous execution of military training while maintaining compliance with Army regulations, contract requirements, and Government direction.

Tasks include:

  • Supervise daily firing desk operations and Range Operations personnel.
  • Monitor range activities, report and document conflict, track resource allocation using RFMSS.
  • Coordinate with the Range Officer, OSCOR, and supported military units.
  • Supervise personnel, work assignments, training, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and contract requirements.
  • Maintain operational continuity during RFMSS outages using approved manual procedures.
  • Prepare operational reports and briefings.
  • Support inspections, audits, and Government-directed taskings.
  • Support Range duties and operate the current version of RFMSS.
  • Use RFMSS to document the control and use of training facilities.
  • Support planned training and administrative events in accordance with G3 priorities and allocate resources subject to Government approval.
  • Conduct quarterly range and training-land in-progress reviews; manage user requests as directed and coordinate previously scheduled resources when guidance changes.
  • Produce and distribute the daily electronic range and training bulletin; produce and distribute hard copy bulletins during system outages.
  • Provide reports and updates to the Operations Manager.
  • Assist in Training new Government RFMSS users and provide user manuals as needed.
  • Notify the Range Officer and OSCOR of RFMSS failures within two hours; continue operations using hard-copy procedures and upload all information after restoration.
  • Assist with quarterly data scrubs, maintain standardized data, and produce utilization and annual range operating/repair logs.

  • Minimum three (3) years of fire desk/range operations experience.
  • Applicable training and on RFMSS Version 3.3.
  • Experience managing firing desk scheduling functions and personnel.
  • Knowledge of Army range operations, scheduling, and training support.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use RFMSS, perform standard data entry, maintain data accuracy, and support system users.
  • Ability to use a Range de-confliction process of concurrent ranges, maneuver, and conduct administrative events in a high-OPTEMPO environment.
  • Ability to produce accurate daily, bi-weekly, quarterly, and annual reports and scheduling products.
  • Effective coordination and communication with Government personnel, training units, and supported agencies.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting high-OPTEMPO military training environments.
  • Experience with range utilization, scheduling, and resource prioritization.
  • Knowledge of Army training support operations.
  • Experience supporting range operations, firing-desk scheduling, or installation training-resource management.
  • Knowledge of range and training-area utilization, preventive-maintenance tracking, and resources allocation.
  • Experience providing fundamental RFMSS user training and troubleshooting system or data issues.


Required Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in fire desk operations, managing firing desk scheduling functions and personnel, and formal training/certification on RFMSS Version 3.3, consistent with the PWS key personnel requirements.
Demonstrated ability to perform RFMSS scheduling and functional-administrator duties.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supervising range operations personnel, coordinating multiple simultaneous training events, and supporting Government range operations.
  • Experience in a high-OPTEMPO range operations environment coordinating standard and non-standard training requirements, Training-event scheduling, resource allocation and prioritization procedures, Range de-confliction procedures, experience with Military range quality control metrics, and RFMSS data scrub experience.

Required Education:
High School Diploma, GED w/relevant experience

Preferred Education:
• RFMSS version 3.3 administration and scheduling certification
• RFMSS data standardization certification

The base salary for this position is $67,000 to $73,000 depending on experience.
