We serve our customers in the US Military, foreign militaries, police and fire departments worldwide, as well as international and domestic civilian helicopter operators & rescue agencies.


Position Overview 


Location: Apollo Beach, FL (Onsite) 

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 5:00pm 


The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day execution of manufacturing and assembly operations at Lifesaving Systems. This position leads production personnel and ensures work orders are completed safely, efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the flow of work through production, monitoring work order status in the ERP system, identifying shortages or constraints, coordinating with Purchasing, Planning, Engineering, and Quality, and ensuring completed work is properly documented and transacted.


What You’ll Do


Production Execution

  • Review and prioritize open production work orders based on required completion dates, material availability, capacity, and business priorities.
  • Assign employees and resources to work orders and production activities to achieve daily and weekly production requirements.
  • Monitor work orders throughout the manufacturing process and take action when jobs fall behind schedule.
  • Identify material shortages, missing components, capacity constraints, equipment issues, or other conditions that could prevent completion of a work order.
  • Escalate and coordinate production constraints with Purchasing, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and/or management as appropriate.


People Leadership

  • Provide direct supervision and daily direction to production employees.
  • Establish clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, attendance, housekeeping, and workplace conduct.
  • Train and develop employees to improve skills, productivity, flexibility, and understanding of production requirements.
  • Cross-train employees to reduce production bottlenecks and improve manufacturing flexibility.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and corrective action when necessary.
  • Approve and manage employee schedules, timekeeping, overtime, and time-off requests in accordance with company policies.
  • Promote a professional, accountable, team-oriented production environment.
  • Lead by example through consistent floor presence and active engagement with employees.


Who You Are


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or a related environment.
  • Strong proven experience leading production employees.
  • Experience working in an ERP/MRP-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of work orders, bills of material, routers, inventory, and production scheduling.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and changing production requirements.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Comfortable working directly on the production floor and addressing issues as they occur.
  • Basic proficiency with computers, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and related business applications.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, marine, safety equipment, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with low-volume/high-mix manufacturing and assembly.
  • Experience managing both internally manufactured and purchased components within a BOM.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Experience working within an ISO or AS9100 quality management system.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly work in and move throughout a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to inspect work, equipment, materials, and production activities throughout the facility.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials consistent with the requirements of the position and company safety practices.
