In this role, you will:

  • Mitigate risk to the bank and the customer to ensure customer satisfaction by processing letter of credits
  • Lead review of complex reformatting, drafting, advising, and amending standby letters of credit that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Provide recommendations on existing policies, practices, and procedures
  • Implement complex letter of credit structure, documentation, governing rules, internal policies, and credit risk implications
  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring understanding of rules and regulations, governing letter of credit products with a full working knowledge of standby letters of credit
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Own and manage high-priority and complex escalations through resolution, ensuring accountability and timely outcomes
  • Serve as the single point of coordination among Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Front Office stakeholders
  • Lead rapid incident triage efforts to assess impact, identify risks, and establish resolution strategies
  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and long-term remediation plans to prevent recurrence
  • Provide clear, concise, and consistent status updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues impacting clients, processes, products, or systems
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to operational teams


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Trade Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Standby Letter of Credit Experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience including; coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions
  • Demonstrated problem solving and independent decision-making skills
  • Experience and/or ability to provide training and support to internal teams
  • Subject matter expert supporting trade operations teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and minimizing operational risk.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Extensive experience in Operations, Incident Management, Escalation Management, Risk Management, or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and resolve complex, high-impact operational issues
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • High degree of independence, accountability, and ownership
