Meaningful work is supported by benefits, flexibility and career pathways that help you grow while balancing life outside work. This includes:

  • Up to 12 Life Days of additional leave each year

  • Support for learning, development and relevant certifications

  • Opportunities to work across programs, domains and emerging technologies

  • Career pathways that can evolve with your interests, capability and ambition

About the Team

You’ll join a team where people work with integrity, inclusion, innovation, agility, collaboration and commitment. In practice, that means sharing ownership, solving complex problems together and staying connected to the customer context, the purpose behind the work and how each role contributes to meaningful outcomes.

We conduct airborne missions for the Australian Government across maritime surveillance and search and rescue operations. With bases strategically positioned across Australia, we operate a fully integrated in-house aviation capability which includes flight operations, maintenance organisation, training organisation and operations centre.

The Opportunity

We have a new opening in our Fleet Management team for an Aircraft Maintenance Planner. The role will focus on maintenance scheduling for the fleet and production planning for planned maintenance events taking place in our Part 145 maintenance facility. Our fleet is comprised of missionised DeHavilland DHC8 fleet operating in Northern Australia, and Bombardier CL604 Search and Rescue (SAR) fleet operating nationally. You’ll be working closely with colleagues from various other departments and our maintenance teams around the country to optimise the fleet maintenance delivery.

The position is suitable for someone with either civil or military experience as our operation shares elements of both industries.

This diverse role offers a unique opportunity to be involved with missionised transport category aircraft delivering critical surveillance, and search and rescue functions for government contracts.

Whilst the position is full-time, the nature of the work allows for flexibility with working arrangements including working from home and varied start and finish times.

In this role, you will:

  • Building and distributing scheduled maintenance plans and work packs to all stakeholders.

  • Coordinating with maintenance providers to ensure the maintenance demand is within scope and capacity.

  • Working with our CASA Part 145 maintenance organisation to ensure timely and efficient delivery of scheduled maintenance work packages.

  • Actively work with Operations to balance operational demands and restrictions.

  • Liaising with management on all critical matters relating to the scheduled maintenance plan.

  • Liaise with Technical Services and Logistics departments to ensure all necessary material and specialised equipment requirements are available as required.

  • Adhering to all procedures and work instructions to maintain airworthiness compliance.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.

Essential for this role:

  • Prior experience with maintenance programs and aircraft maintenance planning, in particular line maintenance.

  • Grounded understanding of airworthiness requirements.

  • Ability to understand technical documentation.

  • Experience using computer-based maintenance systems (e.g. Ramco, Trax, IAS, etc.)

  • Proficient in MS office suite (Word and Excel)

Advantageous, but not essential:

  • Experience with base/heavy maintenance is highly regarded

  • Experience with aviation logistical support is highly regarded

This role does require the successful applicant to have the right to work in Australia.

Applicants may also need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements. In certain circumstances this can place limitations on persons who hold dual nationality, permanent residency or are former nationals of certain countries as per ITAR 126.1.

If this role interests you, we encourage you to apply. We value different experiences and are interested in the capability and potential you could bring.

Applications close COB 8th September 2026
