Junior Attorney

We are looking for a Junior Attorney to join a respected insurance defense practice in Brooklyn, New York. This position is ideal for a litigation attorney who wants meaningful courtroom exposure, direct case involvement, and the opportunity to develop under the guidance of experienced attorneys. Responsibilities:

• Conduct and respond to depositions as part of ongoing litigation matters.

• Prepare legal motions, briefs, and other court filings with strong attention to detail and persuasive analysis.

• Represent clients during hearings, conferences, and trial proceedings when needed.

• Work closely with colleagues to evaluate case strategy, manage deadlines, and move matters forward efficiently.

• Handle discovery activities, including reviewing records, preparing responses, and supporting evidence development.

• Maintain organized case files and monitor progress across a range of insurance defense matters.

• Contribute to the defense of claims involving areas such as construction incidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, toxic exposure, product-related disputes, auto claims, and homeowner matters.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the New York State Bar.
• At least 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation or a closely related legal practice.
• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and other litigation documents effectively.
• Working knowledge of civil litigation procedures, discovery practice, and case development.
• Strong legal research, written communication, analytical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage assignments independently while also collaborating effectively within a legal team.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a clear interest in continued growth as a litigator.

Compensation

$110,000.00-$120,000.00 Yearly
