Senior Financial Analyst| Dalton, GA | On-Site 🚨

I’m partnering with a growing company in Dalton, GA that’s looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who can do more than manage the close — they want someone who can drive strategy through the numbers. This is not a pure “keep the books clean” role. They need a finance leader who can forecast, analyze, model scenarios, explain variances, and influence business decisions.

Why this role stands out:

You’ll oversee the financial performance of a local distribution division, owning everything from month-end close and general ledger activity to budgeting, forecasting, board reporting, and profitability analysis.

You’ll partner directly with leadership on things like:

• Scenario planning for new store openings
• Product line profit analysis
• Spending oversight and financial performance improvement
• Variance analysis against budget and prior year
• Forecasting that supports real business growth

What you’ll do:

• Own the month-end close process for the division
• Build forecasts, projections, and board-level reporting
• Develop and manage the budget
• Deliver meaningful variance analysis and explain key business drivers
• Support leadership with financial modeling and planning insights
• Maintain consistency in core financial processes and reporting
• Calculate commissions across locations
• Support store conversions with financial analysis and monthly adjustments
• Mentor a staff accountant and oversee reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
• Help improve controls, processes, and financial visibility

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Strong Excel and ERP/accounting systems skills
• A solid accounting foundation paired with strong FP& A and analytical horsepower
• Someone who can turn financial data into clear business recommendations
• FP& A exposure is a big plus

Compensation

$85,000.00-$95,000.00 Yearly
