Budget Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Examine departmental invoices against approved budget allocations and identify discrepancies before processing
• Verify billing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and proper coding to support timely payment activity
• Enter purchase order and invoice information into internal systems with a high level of precision
• Prepare formal correspondence and develop budget-related presentation materials for department use
• Produce staff reports using established templates and ensure information is organized clearly for review
• Assist with monthly budget monitoring by updating records and helping track spending activity
• Provide general administrative support to the department, including document preparation and routine coordination tasks
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in budget support, administrative operations, or a related finance-focused role• Hands-on experience with accounts payable processes, invoice coding, and invoice entry
• Ability to work with department budgets and assist with monthly budget tracking and reporting
• Strong Excel skills for organizing data, reviewing financial information, and maintaining records
• Proficiency in preparing presentations, with PowerPoint experience preferred
• Experience creating purchase orders and managing supporting documentation accurately
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial information in a structured environment
