Human Resources (HR) Generalist
We are looking for an HR Generalist to support core people operations for a growing organization in South Florida. This role will contribute across the full employee lifecycle, helping maintain efficient HR processes while delivering responsive support to employees and managers. The position is well suited for someone who can balance administrative accuracy, compliance awareness, and a strong service mindset in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day HR activities tied to payroll by processing employee updates, reviewing deductions and reimbursements, and helping ensure reporting is accurate and timely.
• Administer employee benefits by assisting with enrollment, eligibility tracking, vendor coordination, billing review, and clear communication of available programs.
• Support hiring efforts from requisition posting through pre-employment steps, including applicant review, interview scheduling, offer preparation, and background screening coordination.
• Facilitate onboarding for new employees by organizing orientation, confirming required documentation, arranging system access, and partnering with internal teams on a smooth start experience.
• Maintain organized and confidential employee information within HR and payroll platforms, and perform regular audits to improve data accuracy.
• Serve as a resource for employee and manager questions related to policies, pay, benefits, and general HR procedures, while escalating more complex matters when needed.
• Assist with employee relations processes by preparing documentation, supporting workplace reviews, and coordinating follow-up actions in partnership with HR leadership.
• Help uphold compliance with employment laws and workplace requirements involving leave administration, wage and hour practices, unemployment matters, workers’ compensation, and required reporting.
• Prepare HR reports, workforce data summaries, and presentation materials for leadership, and contribute to process improvements through updated procedures, templates, and internal controls.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.• At least 3 years of broad human resources experience, with exposure to multiple functional areas such as payroll, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
• Active HR certification from a recognized organization is required.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment regulations and the judgment to identify matters that require escalation.
• Strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage several priorities within established deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trust across employee and leadership groups.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking, or benefits administration systems, including ADP or comparable platforms.
Compensation
