Sr. AP Analyst

Robert Half is partnering with a growing organization seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Accounts Payable Analyst to join their accounting team. This is a high-volume processing environment ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, organization, and meeting deadlines. The right candidate will have strong AP experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Job Duties:

Manage full-cycle accounts payable processing in high-volume environments.

Review, code, and process invoices in accordance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Perform 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.

Analyze AP aging reports and proactively resolve outstanding items.

Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor inquiries, and payment exceptions.

Prepare and process weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.

Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate vendor records.

Assist with month-end close activities, accruals, and AP-related account reconciliations.

Support audits by compiling AP schedules and providing requested documentation.

Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce errors.

Participate in ERP system implementations, upgrades, conversions, and testing efforts.

Generate reporting and analytical insights related to AP trends, spending, and vendor management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience.

Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

Experience supporting high-volume AP environments.

Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
