Controller
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, journal entry review, and month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, delivering meaningful commentary on performance trends and significant variances against budget.
• Partner with leadership on forecasting and annual budget development, helping departments align financial plans with business objectives.
• Complete account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across balance sheet and income statement accounts with a high level of accuracy.
• Manage intercompany accounting activities, including transaction review, reconciliation, and proper documentation between related entities.
• Support external audit requirements by organizing schedules, responding to requests, and assisting with annual audited financial statement preparation.
• Develop financial analysis for leadership presentations, special initiatives, and operational reviews to support strategic decisions.
• Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard confidential financial information while ensuring compliance with established policies.
• Travel periodically to operating locations to review financial matters, collaborate with local teams, and present results to stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting or controllership experience with a strong foundation in financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Accounting designation preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and formal financial statements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting, variance analysis, audit coordination, and intercompany accounting practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and QuickBooks in a finance environment.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
• Clear communication and presentation abilities, with confidence in sharing financial information with leadership and stakeholder groups.
• High level of discretion, dependability, and integrity when working with sensitive and confidential data.
Compensation
