Bilingual Spanish Customer Service Representative

Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization in San Diego, CA is seeking a compassionate and service-oriented Bilingual Spanish Customer Service Representative to support community members, donors, clients, and internal stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who is fluent in both Spanish and English and is passionate about helping diverse populations access programs, services, and resources. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to the organization’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries in both Spanish and English
• Provide timely, accurate, and courteous assistance to clients, donors, and community members
• Respond to questions regarding programs, services, events, and general organizational information
• Translate or interpret basic information for Spanish-speaking clients as needed
• Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records in internal systems
• Route inquiries to the appropriate departments and follow up to ensure resolution
• Assist with intake processes, appointment scheduling, and general administrative support
• Support community outreach efforts and help maintain a welcoming and inclusive service experience
• Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
• Collaborate with internal teams to support daily operations and service delivery

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of customer service, call center, receptionist, or client support experience preferred
• Fluency in both Spanish and English, including verbal and written communication
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse communities
• High level of empathy, patience, and professionalism
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM or data entry systems preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in a nonprofit, social services, healthcare, or community-based setting
• Familiarity with intake coordination, case support, or donor/community communications
• Passion for mission-driven work and serving the community
• Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients and families
