AP Manager
A rapidly growing, PE-backed technology organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and scale its AP function. Having completed multiple acquisitions and experienced significant organizational growth, the company offers an opportunity to join a high-performing finance team during an exciting period of expansion.
This role is ideal for a hands-on AP leader who enjoys balancing people leadership with transactional execution. Approximately 30% of the role is focused on team management and development, while 70% remains actively involved in day-to-day accounts payable operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and month-end activities
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 2-5+ direct reports
- Establish performance expectations, provide coaching, and support career development initiatives
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and scalable AP procedures to support organizational growth
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Procurement, and business leaders across the organization
- Review AP controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Support audit requests, reporting requirements, and month-end close processes
- Analyze AP metrics, aging reports, and payment trends to identify improvement opportunities
- Participate in system optimization initiatives and ERP enhancements
- Build strong vendor relationships and resolve complex payment or account discrepancies
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
- Prior leadership experience managing and developing accounting professionals
- Experience supervising at least 2-5 direct reports
- Strong background in large-company, multi-entity, or complex corporate environments
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of AP best practices, internal controls, and month-end close processes
- Proven track record of process improvement and scaling accounting operations
- Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
