Junior Financial Analyst

A growing consumer products company in Carlsbad is looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. This is a strong opportunity for someone with a degree or early professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business who enjoys working with data and wants exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

You'll work closely with Finance and Operations to pull together financial information, identify trends, and help leadership understand where the business is performing well and where there may be opportunities to improve.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly financial reporting and analysis
• Prepare recurring Excel reports and financial schedules
• Compare actual results against budgets and forecasts
• Research expense and revenue variances
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
• Gather financial information from Accounting and Operations
• Maintain financial models and reporting files
• Track departmental spending and key performance metrics
• Assist with month-end reporting and data validation
• Prepare presentations and summaries for management
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
• 0–2 years of financial analysis, accounting, or business experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Comfortable working with large amounts of data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to communicate findings clearly
• Internship or academic finance experience is a plus
