Job Summary
Performs a variety of independent and complex laboratory work and experiments. Analyzes and interprets data, compiles results, and prepares reports. Maintains inventory, ordering, and logs. Writes manuscripts and grant proposals and prepares data visualizations.
Essential Functions
- Performs a variety of laboratory experiments such as histology, flow cytometry, functional studies, molecular tecjniques, gene sequencing, and related technical functions, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis. Ensures conformity to specifications.
- Identifies and prepares specimens for cell separation and histology.
- Oversees supply management: ordering, procurement, tracking estimates, and receiving items.
- Operates and maintains applicable laboratory equipment for job functions.
- Keeps detailed, accurate, and timely data and log books. Organizes, documents, and analyzes results.
- Maintains, calibrates, cleans, and tests sterility of laboratory equipment.
- Trains students and laboratory personnel.
Physical Effort
The position is primarily sedentary but may require walking to other collaboration areas.
