This position requires pushing or pulling objects over 50 pounds, working at heights above 4 feet, and climbing ladders. A full range of physical motion is required.
Shift
Days; Monday-Friday, typically 7:00 am-4:00 pm (40 hours per week) may require some overtime.
Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is seeking a Carpenter to join the trades team for Research Farms, at the scenic 1,800-acre North Farm in Lexington. The Research Farms provide a vast array of teaching, research and extension opportunities for the faculty, staff and students of the college, while overseeing the engineering, Construction and Maintenance of the colleges Agriculture facilities. As an essential member of the Trades team, A Carpenter will perform construction, repairs and maintenance carpentry work across College facilities and the farms! Making this position an integral part of keeping these spaces functional, well maintained and most importantly, safe. This position offers the opportunity to work in a distinctive agricultural environment while supporting the College’s mission.
