Summary:
The Production Coordinator located at Kingsbury, IN reports to our Plant Superintendent and is responsible for supervising the production of finished goods, sub-assemblies and components. Duties include general supervision of workers to achieve production schedules at a competitive cost.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze schedules to determine material and labor requirements.
- Train and supervise Flexible Assemblers for component assembly and final assembly areas.
- Work with Flexible Assemblers to manufacture products which meet established quality criteria. Tasks include troubleshooting sub-assembly and final assembly problems, use of hand and portable power tools, light machine operation, calibration and testing and visual inspection.
- Maintain productivity of the plant via work assignments and efficient utilization of equipment, materials and labor to prevent late items and produce customer orders on time.
- Administer disciplinary measures as required with approval of the plant manager.
- Maintain an effective dialogue with all employees to foster good employee morale and to handle employee complaints.
- Provide timely and quality services and support to all internal and external customers.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
- Thorough knowledge of products manufactured at assigned plant and of assembly methods and manufacturing process.
- Must be capable of maintaining productivity and quality levels as required.
- Require the ability to plan and achieve production schedules via effective supervision of the employees while operating under limited supervision.

Work Conditions:
- Work in an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Some areas are narrow and difficult to maneuver.
