Legal Reviewer (QA/Redaction)

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Legal Reviewer to support a document review and quality assurance initiative for a respected organization in New York. This contract opportunity is ideal for legal professionals with strong experience reviewing legal documents, performing redactions, and ensuring compliance with established procedures and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proven background in legal document review, quality control, and legal operations.

Legal Reviewer (Document Review & Redaction)

Location: New York, NY

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 1+ month

Pay: $25/hour

Schedule: M-F; 40 hours per week between 8am-8pm EST

Key Responsibilities

• Review legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality standards.
• Perform redaction of sensitive, confidential, and privileged information in accordance with established guidelines.
• Conduct detailed quality assurance reviews to identify and resolve inconsistencies or errors.
• Collaborate with legal teams and stakeholders to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize case management and legal software to organize, track, and manage documentation.
• Draft, proofread, and review legal briefs, summaries, correspondence, and related materials.
• Analyze legal data and documentation to support case strategy and decision-making.
• Maintain accurate records and audit trails to support transparency and compliance.
• Communicate findings, concerns, and recommendations effectively with internal teams.
• Assist with document management and other legal support functions as needed.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a legal, paralegal, document review, or legal operations role.
• Experience reviewing legal documents and performing quality assurance reviews.
• Strong knowledge of document redaction procedures and confidentiality requirements.
• Proficiency with case management systems and legal technology platforms.
• Experience drafting and reviewing legal briefs, summaries, or other legal documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage large volumes of information while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with legal data analysis or data analytics is a plus.

Preferred Background

• Paralegal, legal analyst, legal reviewer, litigation support, compliance, or legal operations experience.
• Familiarity with document management systems and electronic document review platforms.
• Prior experience supporting litigation, investigations, compliance, or regulatory matters.
