Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our client’s team on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting specialist who can step into an interim assignment and quickly contribute across core financial operations. The role will support day-to-day accounting activities while helping maintain accurate records, timely reporting, and smooth month-end close processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities to support accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger records in alignment with established accounting practices.

• Perform account reconciliations to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

• Assist with month-end close by organizing supporting documentation, updating records, and completing assigned accounting tasks.

• Utilize accounting software to enter, track, and review accounting information related to daily operations.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to address routine accounting questions and provide timely financial support.

• Take on additional accounting assignments as business needs arise during the contract period.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting support role.

• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.

• Ability to prepare journal entries and complete account reconciliations with strong attention to detail.

• Experience supporting month-end close activities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

• Proficiency with standard accounting systems and spreadsheet-based financial tracking.
