Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join a manufacturing-focused finance team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role will contribute to accurate financial reporting, support core close activities, and help maintain reliable accounting records across multiple entities. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger experience, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with detailed financial data in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage key month-end accounting activities by preparing entries, reconciling balances, and helping finalize timely financial results.
• Review general ledger activity for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and maintain well-documented account support.
• Complete bank account reconciliations and resolve variances to ensure cash records align with underlying transactions.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and internal reports used by leadership for business review.
• Record and monitor accounting activity across multiple entities, including intercompany transactions and related balancing.
• Provide documentation and support for external audits and other financial review processes.
• Maintain fixed asset records and update supporting schedules to keep documentation accurate and audit-ready.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience in a comparable accounting role.

• At least 3 years of accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial business environment.

• Practical knowledge of month-end close processes and day-to-day general ledger accounting.

• Demonstrated ability to prepare journal entries and perform thorough account reconciliations.

• Experience completing bank reconciliations and researching differences to resolution.

• Understanding of core accounting principles and standard financial reporting practices.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including intermediate or advanced Excel skills.

• Experience working with in an ERP system in an organizational accounting environment.

Compensation

$70,000.00-$85,000.00 Yearly
