Quality Assurance Tester (iOT)

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Tester to support software quality initiatives. This opportunity focuses on validating enterprise applications, IoT-related solutions, APIs, integrations, and data movement across connected platforms. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to confirm that new and updated systems perform reliably, meet business expectations, and are ready for release.

Responsibilities:

• Drive end-to-end testing efforts by shaping quality approach, coordinating execution, and confirming release readiness across business and technology solutions.

• Develop and maintain organized test assets in Azure DevOps, including scenarios, cases, suites, evidence, and execution records.

• Partner with product, business, and engineering teams to translate requirements and acceptance criteria into practical, risk-based test coverage.

• Perform a range of validation activities such as functional, integration, regression, smoke, exploratory, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.

• Log, prioritize, and retest defects using tracking platforms such as Azure DevOps or Jira, while clearly communicating issue impact and status.

• Assess APIs, system integrations, databases, messaging tools, dashboards, and data pipelines to verify complete and accurate solution behavior.

• Contribute to Agile delivery by supporting sprint activities, release planning, readiness reviews, and quality reporting tied to go/no-go decisions.

• Work with technical teams to investigate root causes, confirm fixes, improve testability, and expand regression coverage over time.

• Assist with test data preparation, environment validation, observability checks, and post-deployment support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and technical knowledge.
• At least 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, test engineering, or enterprise application testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans for test management, traceability, execution, and reporting.
• Experience using Jira or comparable tools for defect tracking and project coordination.
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery practices, CI/CD concepts, release processes, and quality lifecycle management.
• Background in testing APIs, databases, enterprise applications, integrations, reporting solutions, and connected systems.
• Ability to review requirements, workflows, and technical documentation to identify risks and build effective test coverage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills, with SQL and manual testing experience preferred.

Compensation

$65.00-$75.00 Hourly
