Inventory and Logistics Assistant

We are looking for an Inventory and Logistics Assistant to support daily warehouse and material movement operations in Lancaster, Texas. This is a Contract position based on site, suited for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate inventory records. The person in this role will help keep shipments, stock control, and material staging running smoothly while contributing to safe and efficient warehouse practices.

Responsibilities:
• Manage incoming materials by verifying deliveries, recording receipts, and matching items to purchase orders, transfers, and supplier documentation.
• Coordinate outbound shipments by packaging materials securely, preparing shipping paperwork, and arranging timely dispatch through approved carriers.
• Review inventory variances and shipping issues, research root causes, and take action to correct record discrepancies or order-related problems.
• Perform routine cycle counts, update stock records, and help maintain dependable inventory accuracy across warehouse locations.
• Pull components for kits, organize requested items, and stage materials so they are ready for internal distribution or shipment.
• Support loading and unloading activities to keep products moving efficiently through receiving and shipping areas.
• Partner with warehouse and operations personnel to improve workflows and adopt tools or systems that strengthen day-to-day logistics performance.
• Maintain an orderly work area and follow established safety procedures to promote a clean and secure warehouse environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous hands-on experience in logistics, warehouse support, or supply chain operations, including inventory control responsibilities.
• At least two years of experience in a supply chain or logistics-focused role is preferred.
• Prior forklift operating experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
• Strong attention to detail with solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, warehouse management systems, or ERP platforms to track inventory and shipments.
• Ability to work accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced setting while adapting to new processes and technologies.
• Experience with cycle counting, material handling, and supporting production-line supply flow is highly valued.

Compensation

$20.90-$24.20 Hourly
