Sr. Financial Analyst
Our client, a growing construction company, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in an in-office role. This position is ideal for an analytical finance professional who can support strategic decision-making through strong financial reporting, forecasting, and data analysis. Construction industry experience is preferred but not required, and experience with WIP reporting is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning processes
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions and operational planning
- Analyze project and company performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Assist with WIP reporting and project-based financial analysis
- Partner with leadership and operations teams to provide actionable financial insights
- Create and improve dashboards, reporting tools, and ad hoc analysis
- Support month-end close and assist with management reporting as needed
- Use advanced Excel tools and data modeling techniques to streamline reporting and improve analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Construction experience preferred but not required
- WIP reporting experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Strong data modeling experience required
- Experience with Claude AI is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
