Legal Secretary
Our client, a well-respected and established firm in Orange County, is seeking a Legal Secretary to support its Labor & Employment team. This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys in a supportive environment where teamwork and professionalism are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in the Labor & Employment practice group
- Prepare, format, and proofread pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Manage court filings (state and federal)
- Maintain calendaring and deadlines, including hearings, depositions, and key case milestones
- Coordinate meetings, depositions, and client communications
- Handle document management, redlining, and e-filing
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of legal secretary experience, ideally within labor & employment or litigation
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (formatting, TOAs/TOCs)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal secretary, with a focus on civil litigation.
• Proficiency in electronic filing and familiarity with federal and state court rules.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with legal software such as ProLaw and Worldox.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing legal documents and managing case files.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Knowledge of jury instructions and other legal documentation processes is a plus.
