Accounts Receivable Clerk
Accounts Receivable Specialist, Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Bloomfield, CT | FULLY Onsite
Compensation: $25–$29/hour + bonus Potential
A busy and growing service company in Bloomfield is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable managing collections, posting customer payments, and keeping accounts receivable activity accurate and up to date.
- Manage daily accounts receivable activities, including cash posting and payment application
- Handle customer collections and follow up on outstanding balances (commercial mostly)
- Research and resolve account discrepancies and payment issues
- Maintain accurate customer account records
- Communicate with customers regarding invoices, balances, and payment status
- Assist with reconciliations and other accounting-related tasks as needed
- Support the accounting team in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on Accounts Receivable experience
- Strong collections and cash application/posting experience
- Comfortable working independently in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and follow-up abilities
- QuickBooks experience preferred, but not required
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general accounting practices
