ERP Analyst

Robert Half is seeking a Contract ERP Analyst to support our client's SAP S/4HANA environment and business operations. This individual will serve as the primary onsite resource for day-to-day SAP support, troubleshooting, system enhancements, and continuous process improvement.

The ERP Analyst will work closely with regional SAP teams, business stakeholders, and third-party consultants to ensure SAP functionality effectively supports manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, inventory, logistics, finance, and other core business processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ERP professional with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and SAP environments to play a key role in an organization's ongoing SAP S/4HANA journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and administration for the SAP S/4HANA ERP environment.
• Own first-level incident resolution, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis while coordinating complex issues with regional SAP experts and external support teams.
• Manage system enhancements, configurations, testing, and continuous process improvements within SAP S/4HANA and related systems.
• Partner with manufacturing, production, inventory, planning, logistics, procurement, finance, and sales teams to ensure SAP systems effectively support business operations.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business users and the regional SAP support organization.
• Support and troubleshoot EDI integrations and customer-specific labeling requirements.
• Document business processes, system workflows, configurations, functional requirements, and testing procedures.
• Assist with user training, change management, SOP development, and adoption of new SAP functionality.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization, including master data cleanup, process redesign, reporting improvements, and workflow enhancements.
• Collaborate with regional SAP resources and third-party consultants to implement best practices and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
• Participate in system reviews, SAP module evaluations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support system access management and help ensure appropriate separation of duties and security controls are maintained.
• Assist with testing, deployment, and validation of system changes and enhancements.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in systems analysis, ERP support, business systems analysis, or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting SAP, with SAP S/4HANA experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes, including production, inventory, procurement, planning, logistics, and quality.
• Experience working as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical/ERP support teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining process documentation, functional specifications, process flows, test scripts, and SOPs.
• Experience supporting EDI integrations; automotive EDI experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently as the primary onsite ERP resource while effectively collaborating with remote SAP experts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business requirements.
• Comfortable supporting change management, user training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
