Data Entry Specialist – Biotech

Turn Complex Information Into Accurate, Usable Data

A growing biotech company in Carlsbad is looking for a Data Entry Specialist to support its Operations and Finance teams. This position is a step above traditional data entry and is ideal for someone who is comfortable working across multiple systems and enjoys identifying inconsistencies before they become problems.

You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate information across company databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems while supporting reporting and process improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain high volumes of operational and financial data
• Review records for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
• Research discrepancies and correct inaccurate information
• Maintain Excel spreadsheets and recurring reports
• Upload and organize documentation within internal systems
• Assist with database cleanup and data integrity projects
• Pull information from multiple systems and compare records
• Support Finance and Operations with reporting requests
• Track data trends and flag unusual information to management
• Assist with process documentation and system updates

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of data entry, administrative, operations, or accounting support experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with ERP, CRM, or database systems
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work with confidential information
• Extremely detail-oriented and organized
• Biotech, healthcare, or manufacturing experience is a plus
