Medical Receptionist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join their healthcare team. The Medical Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while managing front-desk operations in a busy medical office. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and other required documentation
- Check patients in and out for appointments
- Collect copays, balances, and other payments as needed
- Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Coordinate with clinical staff regarding patient flow and scheduling needs
- Respond to general inquiries from patients, vendors, and providers
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, and data entry
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Compensation
