Front Desk Coordinator
Our nonprofit client is seeking a Front Desk Coordinator to serve as the welcoming first point of contact for visitors, clients, and community members while providing essential administrative support to the organization. This role is ideal for a friendly, organized, and service-oriented professional who enjoys working in a mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet visitors, clients, volunteers, and community members in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
- Manage the front desk, reception area, visitor sign-in, and daily office traffic.
- Provide information about the organization, programs, services, and resources as appropriate.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, deliveries, and visitor schedules.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and correspondence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and document preparation.
- Maintain accurate records and update databases or internal systems as needed.
- Assist with meeting preparation, events, community programs, and other organizational activities.
- Coordinate with staff, volunteers, vendors, and community partners to support day-to-day operations.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Provide additional administrative support to the team as needed.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of experience in a front desk, reception, administrative, customer service, or office support role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and basic office technology.
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
- Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous nonprofit, community services, healthcare, or social services experience is a plus.
Compensation
