Bilingual Korean Community Outreach Associate

Compensation: $20 to $23 Hourly

The Community Outreach Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to members and seniors visiting one or more Medicare community centers. This Community Outreach Associate serves as a visible representative in the community, helping to build and maintain a positive reputation through professional, culturally sensitive, and service-oriented support. This is a customer-facing position with sales responsibilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting seniors, providing in-language assistance when needed, and helping community members better understand their healthcare and Medicare options.


Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week; must be available to work some Saturdays.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service at one or more community center locations.
  • Offer in-language support to members regarding benefits, services, and access to care.
  • Serve as a Medicare resource for community members by answering questions about Medicare options.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate health and wellness events at the community center, including logistics and setup.
  • Communicate and coordinate general building repair needs with the appropriate facilities contact or department.
  • Maintain inventory of office equipment, supplies, and promotional or marketing materials.
  • Track visitor traffic and monitor use of center services.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly and the center remains well maintained.
  • Manage the use of community space for classes, activities, and trainings while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Identify and help develop programs and activities that provide value to members and increase community engagement.
  • Participate in community outreach events to promote services and benefits, including festivals, sponsored events, holiday celebrations, and culturally specific gatherings.
  • Represent the organization professionally in community settings and support membership growth and engagement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of marketing experience preferred.
  • Experience working in healthcare, nonprofit organizations, or with senior populations preferred.
  • Event planning or event coordination experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with ethnically diverse communities required or strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a customer-facing, community-based environment with professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
  • Active California Life and Health Insurance License required, or ability to obtain the license within 2 months of hire.



Compensation

$20.00-$23.00 Hourly
