Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s department of Leadership and Teacher Education is seeking to hire a UTeach South Recruitment Specialist. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Provides operational and logistical support for the UTeach South program by coordinating program resources and materials, managing financial and purchasing transactions, and facilitating recruitment efforts to support the successful functioning of the program.
  • Maintains and manages inventory of the UTeach South teaching closet, ensuring materials are organized, stocked, and accounted for.
  • Coordinates the checkout and return process for UTeach student “Teach Kits,” including scheduling pick-up and drop-off limes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for students and faculty needing access to program materials and resources.
  • Maintains organized records of all program supplies, equipment, and materials. reorder as needed.
  • Oversees student workers to include assigning duties and approving timesheets.
  • Processes and manages program purchases, including supply orders, program materials, and merchandise.
  • Handles Field Print transactions and other purchasing processes as required.
  • Researches and coordinates merchandise purchases, including designs (such as logos), supply, storage, and distribution to program stakeholders.
  • Submits and tracks scholarship reimbursement requests and mentor teacher payment documentation in accordance with university procedures.
  • Plans, organizes, and manages recruitment events to include classroom visits. student orientation sessions, and student organization presentations to promote the UTeach South program.
  • Develops, executes, and maintains a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms to recruit target audiences, promote program activities, and build program visibility.
  • Creates and maintains printed and digital recruitment materials, updates the UTeach South website recruitment sections, and coordinates emails lo incoming freshmen and transfer students.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with university recruiting departments and surrounding school systems.
  • Maintains recruitment documentation in shared space and responds to program inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Attends the UTeach Annual Conference to represent UTeach South and stay current with national program developments and best practices.
  • Performs internship site management/student matching duties to include establishing and maintaining relationships with local organizations and managing timecards and payment of the interns.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
  • Related duties as required.
